Puppy Wellness Plan

Congratulations on the new addition to your family! We at The Animal Hospital of Lynnfield feel privileged to be able to provide you with the best medical care for your new puppy to ensure it a long, healthy and happy life. Here is our general idea of a preventative healthcare plan for your puppy. Each puppy is different and has different risks of exposure to contagious diseases, so our plan may vary for your puppy. Your veterinarian will make any specific recommendations needed to provide the best healthcare for your new puppy. Because over-vaccination can be harmful, our doctors are careful to limit the number of vaccines to assure your pet's safety.

Up to 8 Weeks of Age

• Comprehensive Physical Exam
• Distemper, Adenovirus, Coronavirus, Parainfluenza and Parvivirus (DHCCP) vaccine
• Fecal test for intestinal parasites
• Strategic Deworming
• Heartworm preventative (single dose)

10-12 Weeks of Age

• Wellness Exam
• DHCPP vaccine booster
• Lyme vaccine*
• Bordatella (Kennel Cough) vaccine*
• Strategic Deworming
• Heartworm preventative (single dose)

14-16 Weeks of Age

• Wellness Exam
• DHCCP vaccine booster
• Lyme vaccine booster*
• Rabies vaccine
• Fecal test for intestinal parasites (follow-up)
• Heartworm preventative (6 month supply)
• Flea and Tick preventative (6 month supply)

5-6 Months of Age

• Overiohysterectomy (Spay) surgery
• Orchidectomy (Neuter) surgery
• Microchip or Tattoo (Optional)

16 Months of Age and Older

• Annual comprehensive physical exam
• Annual vaccinations
• Annual fecal test for intestinal parasites

*These vaccines are given depending on the risk of exposure to the diseases.
